ADDITIONAL PRIVACY INFORMATION FOR WINEHOLIDAY DELIVERY

This page provides additional privacy information for WineHoliday Delivery and should be read together with the main WineHoliday Privacy Policy.

This section explains how WineHoliday uses the delivery information provided by customers when ordering local delivery to villas, accommodations or private homes.

WineHoliday Delivery Details

When you place a WineHoliday delivery order, we may collect additional delivery information before checkout, including:

  • delivery town;

  • villa, accommodation or private home name;

  • full delivery address;

  • delivery date and delivery window;

  • WhatsApp phone number;

  • delivery and access notes;

  • any other information needed to complete the local delivery.

We use this information to prepare your order, organize delivery, confirm delivery details, contact you if needed, manage delivery slots, prepare operational documents, provide customer support and manage the order correctly.

Operational Source of Truth

Shopify may ask for a shipping or delivery address during checkout.

For WineHoliday local delivery, the delivery details entered in the WineHoliday Delivery Details form before checkout are used as the operational source of truth for the actual delivery.

This helps us avoid delivery errors where a saved Shopify address, billing address or previous customer address is different from the villa, accommodation or private home where the customer is currently staying.

WhatsApp Communications

We may use the WhatsApp phone number provided by the customer only for operational communications related to the order, such as:

  • confirming delivery details;

  • asking for missing address information;

  • sending delivery updates;

  • contacting the customer during the delivery window;

  • managing access issues at the property.

We do not use WhatsApp for marketing unless the customer has separately agreed to receive marketing communications.

Delivery Notes

Delivery notes may include practical information such as gate codes, access road details, parking instructions, bell name or other details needed to complete delivery.

Customers should not include sensitive personal information in delivery notes unless it is strictly necessary for the delivery.

Location Sharing

If WineHoliday activates a “Share my current location” feature, location sharing will be optional.

If the customer chooses to share their current location, we may collect approximate GPS coordinates, location accuracy, a Google Maps link and a suggested address generated from the location.

This information will be used only to help identify the delivery address, support delivery operations and reduce address errors.

A location suggested by Google Maps or browser geolocation is treated as a suggested address, not as a guaranteed or confirmed address.

Google Maps and Third-Party Services.

If Google Maps or similar services are used to suggest an address or create a maps link, the customer’s interaction with those services may also be subject to the privacy policies of those third-party providers.

Operational Tools

WineHoliday may process delivery details using operational tools such as Shopify, Make, Google Sheets, email systems and other service providers needed to manage orders, delivery slots, customer communications and internal operations.

These tools are used to provide the delivery service and manage the customer’s order.

Data Retention

WineHoliday retains order and delivery information for as long as necessary to manage the order, comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, improve operations and maintain business records.
